BIT鈥檚 2nd Annual World Congress of Smart Materials opened at Singapore on March 4th, 2016

On March 4th, BIT鈥檚 2nd Annual World Congress of Smart Materials opened at Grand Copthorne Waterfront, Singapore. The President of BIT Congress Inc. Dr. Xiaodan, Mei attended the opening ceremony and addressed the meeting. Over 500 experts and scholars from 45 countries participated in the opening ceremony.
This conference is hosted by BIT Congress and Foreign Experts Databank of SAFEA, Dalian Branch, supported by Singapore Tourism Board and the National University of Malaysia Micro Engineering and Nano Electronic Research Institute.
Smart material is one of the most important research directions in the development of high-tech new materials. Their properties can react to reversible changes in their environment by an external condition. Smart materials help in removing the boundaries between structural and functional materials, which may result in significant revolution in materials science development. Based on its significance, WCSM not only generates enormous benefits for the entire industry but also opens up a new and broader pathway for information and experience exchange all over the world.
Dr. Edward Yi Chang, the Professor/VP of National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan; Dr. Jianguo Lin, the Director of Material Machinery Department, Imperial College London, UK; Dr. W. I. Milne, the Director of Advanced Optoelectronic Center, University of Cambridge, UK as well as some other world-known experts were invited to the conference and delivered keynote speeches.
